While we were in Banana Peel event, the event organizers approached me and Shiela to inform us that we will be having free lunch in Skull & Bones. Wow, we couldn’t be any happier to have free lunch to a restaurant that we would try for the first time! On the other hand, Skull & Bones’ tagline is University Comfort Food so let’s see what they have here.
When we entered, this is the question that welcomed us that really made us hungry:
Shiela had her Blue Palasky Burger (P 340) and it was a bit salty. It’s a good thing that caramelized onions balanced the flavor. I’m quite curious though if this is really how they plate their burgers because it looks sad without the garnish on the sides.
After 15 minutes, my burrito has arrived! Sweet Lord this Morning After (P 330) was so huge that I said it is worth waiting for. The glutinous Spanish rice, black beans, scrambled egg, smoked bacon, and the mozzarella were wrapped in a whole wheat tortilla. The sides were salsa, lime, and sour cream. It was awesome but I wasn’t able to finish my burrito so I had take out the leftovers because I totally like it.
The restaurant is located on the second floor where the diners could also choose to eat al fresco or indoors. When we arrived, the spacious restaurant was quiet and the sound system was later opened. Their interior is not that fascinating but it has some class (to think that this is a hangout place of students). I would rate the taste 4.5 if I haven’t tried the burger of Shiela. The servers haven’t done something wrong to us, but I sensed they were a bit anxious because I couldn’t meet their eyes when I talked to them.
