Whipped: Sugar Wax and Body Scrub Salon, Fairview Terraces

Getting hairless is a must for every girl who wants to be confident especially if planning to go to beach. Yes, it was a “long time no SEA” for me. Almost a year! Ergo, I need to remove that unwanted hair at Whipped: Sugar Wax and Body Scrub Salon. Interior and exterior of the salon is dainty.

By using sugar, lemon juice and water, sugar waxing is a natural way of permanent hair removal.

It has become my habit to work on my own for having my hair removed in the UA area by simply buying a wax where we need to put it on heat then apply to the pits. However, the attendant told me that it can cause dark underarms because of the heat.

Going back to sugar waxing, it requires no heat or strips and not as harmful as regular waxing because the sugar does not sticks to the skin, only to the hair.

The procedure is almost the same with regular waxing. Cleaned the UA, scooped small amount of sugar wax, applied it on the hair to be removed, and pulled. Some hair was not removed so the attendant needed to use tweezers. After that, she put moisturizer and reminded me to let it dry 4 hours.

Next thing is, eyebrow waxing. To be honest, it’s my first time to have my eyebrow waxed because I usually do threading. I let my brows grow for 2 months to achieve Khaleesi brows. Also if you would notice, my brows grow not balanced. Just WTH!

The Khaleesi brows are not totally applicable to me as my brows grow with arch whereas Khaleesi’s brows are straight. Nevertheless, the attendant still tried to make it straight. I think that threading is more painful than waxing. However, I think that waxing brows used more tweezers after waxing because it’s difficult to shape the brows by using wax.
