Mac N’ Chicks, The Yard Street Food Cinema Food Park

Aside from pizza, I find chicken wings as one of the bests food to share. Not really sure if where it was discovered what chicken wings could magically do on our palate, I’m sure everyone has loved nibbling and savoring the flavors of it.

If in the common fast food chains where plain fried chicken is served, the chicken wings restaurants boldly explore flavors that will be liked by the diners. Just like Mac N’ Chicks at the Yard Streetfood Cinema Food Park, I loved the variety of sauces they offer for the chicken wings.

They have 8 flavors to offer and I got to try three of them. It is served with CHUNKY fries on the side. Just look at the photos!

Spicy wings in this cool weather, The Sriracha Wings (P170) should not be amiss.

Butter, garlic, and parmesan- just imagining these combinations makes me drool. The Garlic Parmesan Wings (P180) is my favorite!

Honey Garlic Wings (P170) is also good especially for people who love to have a kick of sweet flavor to their wings.

I have also tried the Mac & Cheese Balls (P140) It is crunchy but with a surprise of soft bite because of the stuffed gooey cheese. Look the dip has also cheese!

Located on the second floor of The Yard, the stall of Mac N’ Chicks will not really catch your eye. However, this will not be missed by people who have already tried their food from their first branch which is in the Xavierville. The price is beyond reasonable I guess since their wings are really chunky and so is their fries. The downside of the stall though is to have the patience waiting for the food.

My Bloated Carnivale Night

Christmas, the most awaited holiday of many, is definitely in the air. Heavy traffic, crowded malls, long queues, and countless waitlists in restaurants are among the common things that people are subjected to during the Yuletide season. This is part of the reason why we often choose to eat at fast food chains to avoid the long wait. Fortunately, night markets come to the rescue. Mercato Centrale Group, the one behind popular night lifestyle markets in the metro, has set up a new one in Venice Piazza at McKinley Hill, Taguig where yuppies can grab a bite after a tiring day at work. Indeed, it is very nice to know the people near the place can enjoy an array of options other than those from establishments in such an upscale place.

Mercato is very popular for helping promote promising new small food businesses that offer great food finds that will definitely excite every visitor. The food night market in Venice Piazza is called “Carnivale” which highly suits the architecture in Venice Piazza. Carnivale is part of giant men, jugglers, and live bands entertained the crowd last December 12, 2013. This night market operates every Thursday and Friday from 6 PM to 3 AM. Since my colleagues and I fell reluctant victims of EDSA’s infamous heavy traffic, we arrived at McKinley around 8:30 in the evening. Due to this, we never had the chance to see RJ Ledesma – one of the co-founders of the Mercato Centrale. Nevertheless, we still felt excited to roam around.

Chicago Pizza

I really wished I know their names but, I don’t. So, all I can do is to tell you that these two dishes are highly influenced by Italian cuisine. They’re a must try!

A 1/3 pound of 100% pure beef patty, stuffed with imported cheese, and grilled perfectly with their secret seasoning! Ang cheesy mo, mahal na kita. Lol!

Sari-Saring Longganisa

I feel sorry for this blurred photo I took. Anyways, these are their longganisa varieties: Cebu, Cabanatuan, Vigan, Alaminos, and Lucban longganisas. They also offer King’s Meal. Plus, we also ate this lechong bagnet.

Wrap Battle

Prepare to battle with these wraps, but you won’t need any shield or armor. All you need is a hungry tummy to finish off their Bacon and Egg Wrap and Chicken Pesto Wrap.

Cakes by K

From Mezzanorte to Levante (yes I am a QC lass), Cakes by K never failed to make me crave for something sweet. This Truffle Cake of Cakes by K is oozing with ganache. Oh my Gosh. You can devour them at only P85.00 per slice.

From the looks of its pink-themed booth, my friends thought that Tamayaki offered desserts. But when we moved closer to the stand and cute woman standing behind it, we realized that it offers Takoyaki with a twist. We were informed that they already have kiosks in some malls. Nice!

They offer two cheesecakes for P150.00. It’s actually not bad for the price.

The presence of shawarma at night market is always felt.

FMT Taclings

This is my friend’s favorite and it’s something that I haven’t tasted. But it was surely sinful when I was finally able to give it a try. Mine was sponsored by my friend, Robin. Thanks for being the arbiter of the night.

Surely, ihaw-ihaw will always be a staple. There are more than four booths offering grilled goodies there, so you won’t feel annoyed waiting for your turn to buy.
